There’s something special about using handmade objects in your daily life. Our glassware is meant to be used and enjoyed, not tucked away in a cabinet for “special occasions". we make everything by hand using Contemporary colors and traditional techniques that have been used for centuries. We take great pride in our work and I hope that shines through when you put our products into use.

Casco Bay Glassworks was opened by Ben and Molly Coombs in the summer of 2002, in Portland, ME. Originally we called ourselves Portland Glassblowing Studio. There was so little awareness of blown glass in Maine, a self-explanatory title seemed best. Casco Bay Glass started out as a product line, but got confused with our true business name and eventually morphed into who we are today.

All the glass at CBG is made by Ben and Molly. Sometimes the kids lend a hand too! If we aren’t in the studio or gallery, you’ll find us enjoying the best of what Maine offers. Sailing in Casco Bay during the summers and snowboarding Sugarloaf in the winter.
